Our platform

Never WordPress. Not once. Not ever.

Every website we have ever built runs on our own platform and custom-designed CMS. No off-the-shelf core, no borrowed themes, no plugin roulette. When you control every line of code, you control every risk.

A typical WordPress site

11,334 new vulnerabilities found in the WordPress ecosystem in 2025. Nine in ten were in plugins.

Four layers of someone else’s code: an open-source core, an off-the-shelf theme, a stack of plugins and shared hosting.

Vulnerability figures: Patchstack, State of WordPress Security 2026.

A Tree View Designs site

0

of those vulnerabilities apply to a Tree View Designs website. No WordPress, no exposure.

One codebase, ours: written, hosted and maintained end to end by the team you talk to, on UK infrastructure with Cyber Essentials Plus. No third-party plugins, no shared themes, no publicly documented admin path.

What is in a typical WordPress stack, and what we run instead
  • A typical GP practice website stack
  • WordPress core. Open-source core, publicly documented, universally targeted.
  • Off-the-shelf theme. Often the free Nightingale template anyone can download.
  • A stack of plugins. Someone else’s code at every layer. Each one is an attack surface.
  • Shared hosting. One server, many tenants, unknown neighbours.
  • Our custom platform and CMS
  • One codebase. Ours. A custom platform and CMS written, hosted and maintained end to end by the team you talk to. First built in 2009, rebuilt generation after generation since, always ours.
  • No third-party plugins. No shared or public themes. No publicly documented admin path.
  • UK infrastructure, Cyber Essentials Plus.

“From initial build of the website and now use their premium service. From the beginning I have been impressed with their communication and their commitment to making the website compliant…”

Matthew PikeGoogle review

“From the moment our website was set up, we knew we had made the right decision. We have signed up for the premium service, but even so, the service you receive is excellent. Quick, efficient, and very helpful. Would highly recommend Tree View Designs. For the first time in years, our website is hassle free and constantly up to date.”

Questions

The things practices ask first.

Do you only build websites for GP practices?

Yes. We have worked exclusively with NHS general practice since 2009: individual surgeries, PCNs and GP federations. It is the reason we can check a site against NHS England benchmarking and CQC requirements without being told what they are.

How long does a new practice website take?

Typically a few weeks from an agreed brief, and the brief is the part that takes real thought rather than the build. The practice decides what carries over from the old site, and that decision usually sets the pace more than anything we do.

What happens to our existing domain and content?

The domain stays yours. We administer the transfer as part of the move, keep it pointing at your current site until you approve the switch, and bring your content, images, staff details and policies across rather than handing you a blank site to fill.

Do you build on WordPress?

No, and we never have. We built our own platform so that patient data, NHS compliance and accessibility are controlled end to end rather than assembled from third-party plugins.

Are your websites accessible?

Every site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and checked against NHS Frontend Design and the GP website benchmarking tool. Accessibility is a legal duty for practice websites, not an optional extra, so it is part of the build rather than an upgrade.

Do you work with practices outside England?

Yes, we support practices across the UK. Some compliance content is England specific, CQC requirements being the obvious example, so where a rule applies to one nation only we say which one rather than implying it applies everywhere.
